Our plan was actually to watch a video and go to bed early, but we'd never turn down an invitation to hang out with some of our favorite people, so we ended up eating sushi with the Breinholts and the Griffiths, and talking for about six straight hours.
This might be the first time our kids have made it all the way to midnight, and they made the most of it.
A very good start to a brand new year.
