Cruise: Puerto Vallarta

Our first day in port. We took a van to Plaza Malecon, where we toured the cathedral, walked along the beach, checked out the sculptures (including a couple of sand sculptures) and the storefronts. The waves on the beach were huge, and we had fun watching the surfers, but I didn't even get wet. I'm lame that way. On our way back we found t-shirts for the boys and swimsuit cover-ups for the girls. I loved taking photos there. We were surprised at all of the U.S. chains there. In fact, there's a Sam's Club and a Walmart right across the street from the port. We actually talked to some passengers who were only disembarking so they could go to Walmart. Seriously. But we had a great day—here are some of my favorite photos (click to see larger view):

I like the collage. But I'm wondering why there is so little of you in it?

The sunshine, and the beach....wish (once again) that I'd been there.

She left out a bunch of photos that she was in. But you wouldn't know that because you declined our invitation to come with us.
