We've had a tradition of going to St. George almost every February for the Parade of Homes. This year we've taken it to the next level and are beginning our Parade of Châteaux in the Loire Valley. Christine's kids had spring break and so we were able to go to our first two with them.
Château d'Azay-le-Rideau
This was a great start, it's a beautiful château surrounded by water on three sides.
Château de Langeais
Stop number two on our tour was also impressive, and had a beautiful park and playground, which was a great reward for the patient kids.
Unlike Azay-le-Rideau, Langeais was right in the middle of town.
Drawbridges are cool.
There was an amazing tree house.
The kids had a great time at the park there. The boys started out strong in the teeter-totter competition.
However, they were seriously outnumbered by the girls.
They had to call in the big guns for the final win.
I'd like to think that if I hadn't been busy taking photos, we could have been victorious.
The St. George Parade of Homes might be ruined for us.
