Here's Einstein's explanation: "When you sit with a nice girl for two hours, it seems like two minutes. When you sit on a hot stove for two minutes, it seems like two hours—that's relativity." There must be a corollary that goes something like this: "48 degrees in July is freezing. 48 degrees in March means it's time to break out the flip-flops and head outside." So although we try not to let the kids enjoy themselves too much when they stay home sick from school, I couldn't say no to Ellie when she asked if she could go outside to ride her scooter. The songs running through my head today are "Good Day Sunshine" by the Beatles, "Beautiful Day" by U2, and "The Hallelujah Chorus" by Handel. Yep, I am that happy about today's weather. It would have been even better if I hadn't been inside disinfecting everything AGAIN.

I had a very similar post in mind. It is so true. We hardly need jackets this time of year when it's almost 50, but I'd want my parka if it were August and the same temp.
Your girls are so cute! :)
